Chillkeep is a broad expanse of moorland in the Great Western Wilderness, stretching from Tawspring in the north-east to the Fox and Hounds and Hare Tor in the south-west. Known as simply the Moor, Chillkeep refers to that part of Dartmoor which has traditionally been a Glastieven stomping ground. It was initially defined with reference to the territory of the Second Republic of Glastieve, which in turn was defined as the areas of northern Dartmoor with the distinctive brown appearance of tall uncultivated grass.
